Almeda G. Brentzel, 89, of North Huntingdon, Pennsylvania passed away peacefully Thursday, October 6, 2022. She was born May 7, 1933 in Paintertown, Pennsylvania. Daughter of the late Frank R. and Gertrude (Long) Beiter. She is preceded in death by her loving husband, John J. Brentzel, and her beloved son, Mark J. Brentzel. She is also preceded by her siblings: Marie Smetak, Josephine Yurisinec, Alma McSweney, Frank Beiter, John Beiter, Marion Beiter, William Beiter, Robert Beiter and James Beiter. Almeda was a dedicated mother especially to her special needs son, Frank ‘Bull’ , she traveled the globe, enjoyed gardening and shopping as well as spending time with her family and friends. Having lived life to the fullest, she was a charismatic person who will forever be remembered for the love she had for her family and her faith.
She is survived by her devoted children; John L. Brentzel and wife Cynthia, Cathy M. Brentzel, and Frank ‘Bull’ Brentzel. In addition, she was a proud ‘Gram’ to 6 granddaughters; Nicole (John) Webb, Melissa (Edward) Waibel, Stacie (Andrew Yeager) Brentzel, Ashlee (Daniel) Pelczar, Stephanie (Michael Evan) Brentzel, and Catherine G. Brentzel. She was also blessed with 5 great grandchildren whom she adored; Ty and Kassidy Webb, Andrew John Yeager, Johnathan M. Brentzel Evan, and Sawyer J. Pelczar. Surviving brother, Richard (Arlene) Beiter and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to Almeda’s wonderful care team for the past several years, words cannot express our appreciation for the love and support you have shown. Dr. Eric Campbell and his staff at Westmoreland Center for Internal Medicine, Fr. John Moineau, Fr. Roniel Bantugan Duenas, Lane Donnelly, and her caregivers: Lori, Denise, Janie, and Mary Pat.
