Barbara J. (Weiss) Sambuco, 85, of North Huntingdon died Friday December 31, 2021. She was born November 17, 1936, in McKeesport a daughter of the late John and Julia Weiss and stepdaughter of the late Edward Pikulski. Barbara was a 36 year charter member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, from its origination at Hartford Heights Fire Hall, where she served as an usher, and was the first women usher in the Diocese of Greensburg. She was a member of the Church’s Confraternity of Christian Mothers and sang in the Resurrection Choir for over 30 years, and worked the fish fries for 12 years. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Virgil Sambuco, Jr; a son Wayne Sambuco and his wife Mary Ann (DeCario) Sambuco and a brother John Weiss. Surviving are daughters Jodie (Curtiss) Ross, Gina (Joe Kovac) Sambuco; grandchildren Dominique and Bruno Sambuco and a brother James Weiss. Friends will be received Monday 2-4 p.m. at Ott Funeral Home Inc 805 Pennsylvania Avenue Irwin. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church.
