Obituary for Barry R. James

Barry R. James, 70, of North Huntingdon died Sunday March 7, 2021 in UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh. He was born July 22, 1950, in Braddock a son of the late Raymond F. and Donna Mae (Edwards) James. Prior to his retirement he was a teacher for Indiana County VoTech and SCI Greensburg. He was a member of Eastern Collegiate Football Association, PIAA Referee, Eastern Official’s Interscholastic Association, Westmoreland County Basketball Officials Association, Rules Interpreter for Softball and Foot Hills Baseball Umpire Association and the Norwin Elks Lodge 2313. He was a Navy Veteran. Surviving is his wife Elizabeth “Betsy” (Shoup) James; brother and sisters Sandra (Kenneth) Full, Darrell (Anita) James, Terry (Shari) James, Randy (Evelyn) James, Tracy (Tim) Daugherty, Jeffrey (Julie) James and multiple nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Friends will be received 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Ott Funeral Home Inc 805 Pennsylvania Avenue Irwin. A funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Friday in the funeral home. All CDC guidelines will be followed, masks are to be worn.
