Obituary for Cordellia G. Salsi (Campbell)

Cordellia G. (Campbell) Salsi, 90, of William Penn Senior Suites, formerly of Westmoreland City, died Monday December 28, 2020 in UPMC East, Monroeville. She was born April 2, 1930 in Irwin a daughter of the late John and Margaret (Wade) Campbell. She was a member of the St. Barbara Church, in Harrison City. Cordellia was a devoted mother and grandmother; she enjoyed playing bingo, card playing and knitting. She was a dedicated fan of the Steelers, Penguins and Pitt football. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Othnell “Joe” Salsi; a son Rick Peterson; brother and sisters John Campbell, Betty Lou Baker and Janice Oliver. Surviving are a daughter Traci Bycura and her husband, Jim, of Pittsburgh; daughter-in-law Linda Peterson; five grandchildren Alexis (Mike) Ludwig, Ashley (Mike) Symonds, Nick (Kristin) Peterson, Samantha and Sara Bycura; seven great grandchildren Eva and AJ Ludwig, Ari and Cora Symonds, Genevieve, Greta and Will Peterson; one sister Sally Clark, of North Huntingdon; and several nieces and nephews. Due to the COVID pandemic all family services will be private. A public celebration of life will be held at a later date.
