Dorothy Mae (Thomas) Melocchi, age 81, of Swissvale died peacefully, surrounded by her family on Saturday, December 18, 2021 in Shadyside Hospital, Pittsburgh. She was born March 19th 1940 in North Braddock the daughter of the late John and Agnes (Knightly) Thomas. A Stay at home mom & homemaker until she was 50 years old. Attended Community College where she completed her Nursing Assistant Certification. She worked for the Visiting Nurses Healthcare until retiring. Beloved wife of John R. Melocchi for 59 years. Cherished mother of four amazing children; Joseph Melocchi (wife) Dolores from Florida, Michael Melocchi (wife) Tiana of North Huntingdon, Lisa (Husband) Mike Koschik, and Renee’ (Husband) Jamie Pivarnik, as well as the LOVES OF HER LIFE, her three grandchildren; Jessica, Mason, and Maddox. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Donald Thomas and Sisters in Law Fran Thomas, Kay Thomas, and Mary Jane Thomas. Survived by her brothers John “Ticky” Thomas, Jim Thomas and Bob Thomas (wife) Monica from Idaho, Sister in Law Shirley Thomas and many nieces and nephews. Friends will be received on Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the Ott Funeral Home, Inc., 805 Pennsylvania Avenue, Irwin where a Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday at 11 AM in the Funeral Home Chapel.
