Edward L. Frieze, age 73 of N. Huntingdon passed away on Thursday March 16, 2023 in Waldens View of N. Huntingdon. Ed was born on October 5, 1949 in Wilkinsburg the son of the late Edward and Irene (Murray) Frieze. Ed was a veteran of the Vietnam War serving with the US Army. He was awarded several medals including the Air Medal with Oak Leave Clusters and the Bronze Star. Ed retired from the Local 9 Bricklayers Union, he was a member of the St. Edward Church in Herminie, and an avid hunter and fisherman. Ed is survived by his loving wife of 50 years Barbara (Vargo) Frieze; his children Edward Frieze (Amanda) and Christina Lust (Jason) both of N. Huntingdon; his grandchildren Mia and Koby Lust and Xavier Frieze; his siblings Jeff Frieze (Dee), Diane Logesky (Dave) and Stacey Worley and numerous nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be received on Monday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM in the Ott Funeral Home Inc., 805 Pennsylvania Ave, Irwin 724-863-8900. Parting prayers will be held on Tuesday at 9:15 AM followed by a funeral Mass at 10 AM in the St. Edward Church, Herminie with military honors to follow the Mass. Interment will be private.
