Elizabeth “Betty Ann” (Carrera) Thomas, 82, of North Huntingdon, passed away Friday, November 4, 2022, at AHN Forbes Hospital in Monroeville. She was born July 6, 1940, in Greensburg, daughter of the late Anthony and Vera Suchora Carrera. Betty worked as a nurse for over 40 years and retired as a nursing supervisor from Monsour Medical Center after 33 years of service. She was a member of VFW Post #781 Auxiliary and former member of IVFD Ladies Auxiliary. Surviving is her husband of 60 years, Carl Thomas; four children, George (Lori) Thomas, Deborah (Michael) Kalp, Cheryl (Keith) Gray, Michael (Jessica) Thomas; six grandchildren, Brandon Kalp, Jim and Nick Gray, Joe Thomas, Carly (Adam) Glasgow and Brad Thomas; four great grandchildren, Isaac, Ava, Luna and Harley. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 pm Monday at Ott Funeral Home, Inc., 805 Pennsylvania Avenue, Irwin. Parting prayers will be held 9 am Tuesday at the funeral home, followed by a 9:30 am Mass of Christian Burial at Immaculate Conception Church.
