Elmer L. Griffin, 72 of North Huntingdon, died Monday, August 29, 2022 at U.P.M.C. Shadyside Hospital, Pittsburgh. He was born December 27, 1949 in McKeesport. He is the son of the late Frank “Sparky” and Doris (Hogan) Griffin. Prior to retirement, Elmer was employed in the customer service department at C.V.S. Pharmacare of Monroeville. He was an active member of the New Hope Presbyterian Church of North Huntingdon. Elmer had a love of American history especially a passion for the Civil War Era. Surviving is his wife of 42 years, Janis (Wahrenberger) Griffin, two children; Kristen Kelly (Chris) of North Huntingdon; Daniel Griffin (Carissa) of Greenwood, South Carolina, three grandchildren; Niko Kelly, Gunnar Griffin, Grayson Griffin. One sister; Judy Hardy (Dan) of Covington, Georgia; nieces, Jill, Beth, Susan, and a nephew Scott. Friends will be received at the Ott Funeral Home Inc., 805 Pennsylvania Ave., Irwin, on Friday from 2-6pm. A funeral service will take place on Saturday at 10:30 am in the New Hope Presbyterian Church.
