Ernest E. Lender, 76, of North Huntingdon, died at Forbes Regional Hospital in Monroeville on Wednesday, Jan. 25, 2023. He was born July 10, 1946, in Altoona, a son of the late Leroy and Bessie Lender. Ernie served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Era and was employed with Respironics. He loved his model trains and his new Dodge pickup. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his infant son, Christopher Lender; grandson, Brandon Turner; infant great-granddaughter, Kensley Rose Lender; two sisters, Martha McConnell and Ruth MeDasie; a brother, David Garman; and his father and mother-in-law, George W. and Lois McClure. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 53 years, Linda L. McClure Lender; two children, Kimberly Turner (Robert), of Adamsburg, and Greg Lender (Lisa), of Ruffsdale; six grandchildren, Robert, Christopher, Brittany, Alexa and Aiden Turner and Kelly Lender; several great-grandchildren; sister, Hazel Mountain, of Pitcairn; and several nieces and nephews and his beloved pets, Kuma and Kit. Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate the life of Ernest from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday in the OTT FUNERAL HOME INC., 805 Pennsylvania Ave., Irwin, 724 863-8900.
