Eugene R. Close, 95, of North Huntingdon, died Saturday, January 14, 2023. He was born August 13, 1927, in McCullough, PA, a son of the late Violet Close. Eugene was retired from the former General Tire and Rubber Company, Jeannette and served in the US Navy during WWII. He was a member of St. Agnes Church and the Manor American Legion Post 472. In his younger years he was an avid deer hunter. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Jeanne L. Viecelli Close and two sons, Kenneth and Wayne Close. He is survived by his son, Gregory Close (Debbie) of North Huntingdon; eight grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren and several nieces. Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate the life of Eugene, Wednesday from noon until 1pm. A Funeral Service will be held at 1 pm in the Ott Funeral Home, Inc.
