Obituary for Francis B. "Hoffy" Hoffman

Francis B. “Hoffy” Hoffman, 91 of North Huntingdon, died Tuesday September 6, 2022 in Transitions Health Care. He was born September 11, 1930 in Pittsburgh. He was the son of the late Francis N. and Stella (Polens) Hoffman. Prior to his retirement he was employed in the Financial Dept. Westinghouse Bettis of West Mifflin. Francis was a veteran of the Korean war serving in the U.S. Airforce. He was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church of Irwin, and the VFW Post 781 of Irwin. Hoffy was an usher at Three Rivers Stadium, PNC Park and Heinz Field for nearly 30 years. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Rita (Butler) Hoffman, a daughter Kathleen Collette Fox, and two sisters, Margaret Kernick and Dorothy Hoffman. Surviving are children, Deborah Kitz (Jason) of Ruffsdale, Sharon Brown (Burt) of Hermitage, Sandra Seanor (William) of Hempfield, Mary Parks (Richard) of North Irwin, Greg Hoffman (Cindy) of North Huntingdon, Kimberly Loeffler (Mike) of North Huntingdon, Jodi Peters (Terry) of North Huntingdon, and Mark Hoffman (Jennifer) of Ohio, and a son-in-law Ron Fox of Hermitage. 25 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild. Friends will be received on Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. Parting Prayers will take place on Friday at 11:00 AM in the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 AM in the Immaculate Conception Church.
