Gerald R. "Jerry" Thomas, 81, of North Huntingdon, died Monday, January 17, 2022. He was born May 17, 1940, in McKeesport. He was the son of the late Kenneth McClure and Elmira (Mercer) Thomas. Jerry was self-employed as the owner of Thomas' Super Market and High-Tek Hobbies of North Huntingdon, and later a commercial phone and data installer for American Telecom. Jerry had a passion for flying as a private pilot, a Keystone Clippers officer, and a Laurel Highlands Radio Control Club member. Jerry was also a member of the B.P.O.E. Lodge 2313 of Irwin. Surviving is his wife of 59 years, Joyce (Pritchard) Thomas; son David Thomas and his wife, Linda; grandson Jonathan Thomas and his fiancé, Ashley Solo; sister Fern Yonke and her husband, Robert, niece Rebecca (Becky) and Tim Sciullo and nephew Eric and Carrie Yonke; niece Robyn Yandrlic; and cousins Dr. Mercedes Monjian and Marilyn and Paul Kobulnicky. In place of the viewing, visitors are welcome to join in celebrating Jerry's life on Sunday, January 30, from 2–4 PM at the Ott Funeral Home Inc 805 Pennsylvania Avenue Irwin.
