Henry E. (Hal) Turkowski, 71, of Penn Township was called on to his home in heaven on Dec. 12, 2021, he was born Jan. 24, 1950 in Braddock. He was the son of the late Henry and Agnes (Herbert) Turkowski. Hal was loved and will be missed by his family and friends. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Noreen (Loveall) Turkowski; children Lauren (Jerry) O’Brien, Daniel Turkowski and Hallie (Bo) Chatfield. Hal and his wife Noreen were blessed with such joy of 11 grandchildren, Cameron, Norah, Declan and Liam O’Brien, Zacary, MaKenzie and Ty Turkowski, Cole, Jake, Bode, and Scarlett Chatfield. Hal was a proud veteran of the Vietnam War serving in the US Marine Corps. Hal was the hardworking founder of HET Construction Company. Henry is also survived by his brothers and sisters, Christina (Marty) Casper, Cynthia ( the late Tony) Mauro, Karen (Rick) Wolfe, Tim (Jannie) Turkowski, Frank (Diane) Turkowski, Joe (June) Turkowski, John (Val) Turkowski, Mike (Alissa) Turkowski, Bill (Anne) Turkowski and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the Ott Funeral Home Inc., 805 Pennsylvania Avenue, Irwin, on Wednesday and Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. A funeral service will take place on Friday at 10:00 AM in the funeral home. Interment will follow in the Irwin Union Cemetery, North Huntingdon.
