Obituary for Jean "Mash" Sklencar (Masciantonio)

Jean “Mash” (Masciantonio) Sklencar, 93, of Redstone Highlands in North Huntingdon died Monday, July 25, 2022, at her residence. She was born December 30, 1928 in Glassport, she was the daughter of the late Michele and Lillian (Marcenelle) Masciantonio. Jean attended St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church in North Huntingdon. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Leonard “Lenny” Sklencar and a daughter Terri Kopchinski. Surviving are her six children James Sklencar (Ruth) Boonsboro, MD., Mary Jo Bowman of North Huntingdon., Connie Roland (Michael), of North Huntingdon, Joe Sklencar (Jodi) Yorba Linda, Ca., Michael (Amy Apel) Sklencar, of Murrysville and Christine (Tony) Machi of Mars; grandchildren; Karen (Gene) Danfelt, James Sklencar (Emily), Christopher Sklencar (Danielle), Brian Bowman (Lauren), Ashlee Anthony, Shanyn Roland (Brian O’Leary), Jessica Hensel (David), Alayne Avila (Brandon), Emily Sklencar (Mark Carlson), Abby Sklencar, Anthony, Alyssa, Aubree Machi; 16 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the Ott Funeral Home, 805 Pennsylvania Avenue, Irwin, on Wednesday, 4-8pm. Parting prayers will take place on Thursday at 9:30am in the Funeral Home, followed by a mass of Christian Burial at St. Elizabeth Seton Church. Interment will follow in the Penn Lincoln Memorial Park.
