Jeanne C. (Meyer) Porter, 90, of Harrison City, died Friday April 30, 2021 in the UPMC East Monroeville. She was born September 9, 1930, in Greensburg a daughter of the late Sylvester and Virginia (Pierson) Meyer. Prior to her retirement she was employed for the Tribune Review in Greensburg as a switch board operator. Jeanne was a longtime nurse’s aide at Westmoreland Manor and several other nursing homes in the area, as well as private homes. She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church, in Irwin. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a daughter Cathy Brutout and a sister Patricia McClure. Surviving is two children Christine Gaines and her husband Brad, of TN., Jack Porter and his wife Marlene, of Greensburg; son-in-law Glenn Brutout, of Harrison City; grandchildren Amy Mero, Lisa (Craig) Markowski, Cortney (Jeremy) Logsdon, Alyson (Devin) Newman and Natalie Porter; great grandchildren Raleigh Mero, Caleb, Leah and Adam Markowski, Hailey Jain, and Aubrey Cait Logsdon; a brother John Meyer, of Petersburg, PA and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Ott Funeral Home Inc 805 Pennsylvania Avenue Irwin. Parting prayers will be held 9:00 a.m. Tuesday in the funeral home followed by a 9:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial celebrated in Immaculate Conception Church.
