Obituary for Kathleen E. Montrose (Behr)

Kathleen E. (Behr) Montrose, 74, of Irwin died Monday, December 14, 2020 in Magee Womens Hospital, Pittsburgh. She was born September 11, 1946, in Bellevue a daughter of the late Edwin J. and Clare M. (Ward) Behr. Prior to her retirement she was employed as head teller for First Niagara Bank formerly of Irwin. She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church, in Irwin and the Christian Mother/Women’s Guild, where she served as president. Kathy was a member of the Country Hills Home Makers, Jacktown Ride and Hunt Club, and was an Irwin Borough crossing guard and a former member of the Irwin Garden Club. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Robert H. Montrose Sr. Surviving are two children Robin E. Harper and her husband, Brett Sr., of Irwin, Robert H. Montrose Jr. and his wife, Rachele, of Lakewood, OH.; four grandchildren Brett Jr, and Conner Harper, Shelby and Sydney Montrose; brothers and sister Robert Behr and his wife, Susan, of NC, John Behr and his wife, Nancy, of Fl, Karen Kulik and her husband, Robert, of North Huntingdon, Ken Behr and his wife, Kim, of TX and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received Thursday January 7, 2021 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Parting prayers will be held Friday January 8, 2021 at 9: 00 a.m.in the funeral home followed by a 9:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial celebrated in Immaculate Conception Church. Interment will follow in Immaculate Conception Cemetery, North Huntingdon. Please, mask are required and all CDC guidelines will be followed.
