Leona F. (Helderlein) Pierce, 95, of Greensburg died January 14, 2022 in Greensburg She was born July 16, 1926 McKeesport the oldest daughter of the late Frank X. and Garnet (Mason) Helderlein. Leona was a longtime resident of Irwin and Greensburg. She was a graduate of East McKeesport High School in 1944.In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband whom she was married to for over 40 years James Donald Pierce; a daughter Linda Sue Pierce; a son Jay Donald Pierce; brothers Frank, Howard, William, Gary and Albert Helderlein; sisters Patricia Callahan and Vivian M. Schwille. Surviving are grandsons, Jacob D., of Saltsburg, Kyle Pierce and his wife, Nicole, of Manor, Matthew pierce, of Manor and John Pierce, of Saltsburg; sisters Cheryl D. Semenko, of Greensburg and Judith A. McCracken, of White Oak; brothers Guy A. Helderlein and fiancé Linda Rowe, of Graham GA., Ronald B. Helderlein, of San Diego, CA., Kenneth C. Helderlein and his wife, Jeannie, of Oxnard, Ca., Duane G. Helderlein and his wife, Debbie, of Las Vegas, NV and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends will be received 10 a.m. to Noon Thursday at the Ott Funeral Home Inc 805 Pennsylvania Avenue Irwin Interment will follow at Penn Lincoln Memorial Park, North Huntingdon.
