Obituary for Marge Goffus (Dudik)

Marge (Dudik) Goffus, 92, a longtime resident of Port Vue, PA, passed away peacefully on December 19, 2020 at her daughter's home. Marge was born February 27, 1928, in McKeesport, PA and was the daughter of the late Andrew and Elizabeth Dudik. Anyone who grew up in Port Vue will remember being welcomed to sit on Margie's porch to cool off with a popsicle, or knocking on her door to ask her for a new ball after someone hit or kicked one over the fence at Myer Avenue schoolyard. She also happily refilled too many water bottles to count. Marge was employed by Longue Vue Country Club and enjoyed her time working the club members' special events and holiday parties. She also enjoyed traveling throughout the US with her husband Pep's Senior Softball Championship Team. Marge supported the arts, finding musicals most appealing and attending many shows in Ohio and Pennsylvania. Marge was a member of Saint Mark’s Parish in Port Vue. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Joseph Goffus and eight siblings. Marge is survived by her daughters Joi Goffus (David Camarote) with whom she resided, Cheryl Goffus (Nick Demianovich), and Sally Podvasnik (Paul); five grandchildren, four great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating in Marge's memory to keep the arts alive near her daughter's homes at The Palace Theatre in Greensburg, PA: https://thepalacetheatre.secure.force.com/donate/.
All services will be private. Entrusted with the arrangements is Ott Funeral Home 805 Pennsylvania Avenue Irwin.
