Mary Louise Clougherty, a resident of Irwin & North Huntingdon since 1957 passed away on Thursday, September 15, 2022 at the Westmoreland Hospital (Excela Health) Greensburg. She was born on July 22, 1929 in Cromwell, Connecticut; daughter of the late Anthony and Rachel Mocci. She was predeceased by her husband, Herbert E. Clougherty in 2003 and a daughter, Colleen Caruso in 2019 (late Rick), and 2 older brothers late Anthony and Patrick and a younger sister. She is survived by 2 sons; Daniel and his wife Barbara; and John; her daughter, Christine Connolly and her husband Dan. Mary was a devoted wife; an outstanding mother and role model, and an exemplary friend. She especially enjoyed spending time with her friends at yoga, “Silver Sneakers” and AARP outings. And, she relished the occasions spent with her grandchildren. Prior to the passing of her husband; she and he enjoyed numerous vacations together; those spent in Florida during the winter months were her most memorable. Mary's faith was foremost her life and was the strength for her existence. Personable, pleasant and witty, she was forever upbeat and optimistic. Always a smile and a kind word, she is what good memories are all about. Her physical presence will be missed, yet her thoughtfulness and selfless acts that she performed so generously throughout her life, will continue to bring happiness to all who had known her. A journey's end well travelled; she has now returned home to the Lord. May her soul rest in eternal peace.
