Monty L. O’Brien, 81, of Irwin, Penn Twp. died Thursday December 10, 2020 in Woodhaven Care Center, Monroeville. He was born June 16, 1939 in Wilkins Twp. a son of the late Joseph L. and Helen (Dryburgh) O’Brien. Prior to his retirement he was employed as a tool designer for Westinghouse Electric. Monty enjoyed golfing and was a avid Notre Dame fan. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a grandson Mathew O’Brien. Surviving are his wife Sandra Elaine (Cunningham) O’Brien; two sons Mark O’Brien and his wife, Cindy, of Penn Twp., Dean O’Brien, of Connellsville; three grandchildren Kelly, Andrew and Catherine O’Brien; one great grandchild Makayla Guerrieri and a sister Martha Jane Engle. There will be no viewing or services at this time. A memorial Service will be planned for a later date.
