Samuel L. Smith, 59 of North Huntingdon, died Sunday, August 28, 2022 at Transitions Care in North Huntingdon. He was born November 20, 1962 in Jeannette, Pa. He is the son of Lynn M. (Schartner) Smith and the late John C. Smith. In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by his maternal Grandparents Elmer and Mary Schartner and Paternal Grandparents Samuel Louis Smith and Alma Smith. Sam was a 17year Veteran of the U.S. Army, a member of the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church of Irwin and was one time employed as machinist for P.D.S. of Irwin. He was a graduate of Norwin High School class of 1980 and Thiel College class of 1984. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his three, brothers Joseph Smith of North Huntingdon, David Smith (Jodi) of North Huntingdon, Michael Smith (Carie) of Albuquerque, New Mexico, several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Family and Friends will be received at the Ott Funeral Home Inc., 805 Pennsylvania Avenue, Irwin on Wednesday evening from 6-8pm. A service will take place on Thursday at 10:00am in the in the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Irwin. Interment will follow in the Penn Lincoln Memorial Park.
