Stephie (Sydor) Whalen, 95, of North Huntingdon died Tuesday January 4, 2022, in Waldens View, North Huntingdon. She was born October 29, 1926 in Trafford, PA. She was the daughter of the late John and Nellie (Litwin) Sydor. Prior to her retiring, Stephie was employed as a Drafting Technician for the Elliott Company of Jeannette. She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church of Irwin. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband James J. Whalen Sr. and a sister, Anne Brzecicki, and a brother. Joseph Sydor. Stephie is survived by her children, sons, James J. Whalen Jr. of Colorado, Dennis Whalen and his wife Sharon of Pittsburgh, a daughter Linda Whalen of North Huntingdon. Three grandchildren, Kelli, Zack, and Matthew, and a great granddaughter, Ivy. Friends will be received at the Ott Funeral Home Inc., 805 Pennsylvania Ave., Irwin on Thursday from 10AM to Noon, at which time a memorial service will take place.
