Obituary for Thomas E. Schorr Jr.

Thomas E. Schorr, Jr., 74, of Irwin, died Friday, March 17, 2023 in the Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital. He was born April 10, 1948, in Wilkinsburg, a son of the late Thomas E. Schorr, Sr. and Albina B. Cipro Schorr. He was a welder for General Electric, West Mifflin for 32 years. He served his country in the United States Air Force in the Vietnam Era. Tom was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church. He enjoyed going to local car shows, was a proud owner of a '76 hunter green corvette and a member of the Western PA Corvette Club. Tom was also a fifty-two year member of the White Oak American Legion Post #0701 and was a social member of the West Mifflin Volunteer Fire Department #3. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of forty-eight years, Patricia M. Nalepa Schorr; son, Jason Schorr (Jennifer) of Philadelphia, daughter, Denise Lee of FL; grandchildren, Rachael, Zachary, Blake and Hannah; two sisters, Barbara Angelcyk (Felix) of West Newton and Kathryn Saus (Leonard) of Forest Hills; two sister-in-law, Judy Mondy (Ronald) of Akron, OH and Francine Comito (Robert) of Harrison City; and several other nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank Chrisy and Scott for their care and compassion. Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate the life of Thomas, Tuesday 4 to 8 p.m. in the Ott Funeral Home, Inc., 805 Pennsylvania Ave, Irwin, 724 863-8900. Prayers of transfer will be said in the funeral home Wednesday at 10 am, followed by a funeral Mass to be celebrated at 10:30 am in the Immaculate Conception Church, Irwin. Private inurnment will be in Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Irwin.
