Obituary for Wayne L. Byerly

Wayne L. Byerly, 75, of Irwin, died peacefully on Saturday, April 23, 2002 at the Westmoreland Manor. He was born July 18, 1946 in Latrobe, PA. He was the son of the late Louis “Bus” and Betty (Andora) Byerly. Prior to his retirement, Wayne was employed at AIRO Diecasting of Loyalhanna, and was also employed as a welder for Westinghouse of East Pittsburgh and Trafford. He was a member of the White Oak Rod and Gun Club, the Arlington Club of Jeannette, the Penn Rod and Gun Club, and the St. Joseph’s Polish Club of Westmoreland City. Wayne had an appreciation for the outdoors and loved to trout fish. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Byerly. Surviving are his wife Karen (Bulkowski) Byerly, a son Troy Byerly of North Huntingdon, sisters Barbara Naples and Diane Aujay, and a brother, Jeff Byerly. Also surviving are his pet dog, Sophie, and several nieces and nephews. Wayne’s family would like to extent their heartfelt gratitude to the staff, nurses, and doctors, at Westmoreland Manor for the kind and compassionate care they extended to Wayne during his time there.
