Obituary for William C. "Bill" Kranitz

William C. “Bill” Kranitz,89 , of North Huntingdon died Tuesday December 7, 2021 at his home. He was born September 6, 1932, in Herminie a son of the late John and Mary (Ropey) Kranitz. Prior to his retirement he was the owner of the Carriage Inn Dining Room, of Greensburg where they specialized in home cooked food. It was the venue of many celebrations and wedding receptions and special family gatherings. Bill was a devoted family man, a dedicated husband, father and grandfather. He was a graduate of Sewickley High School class of 1950. Bill was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church, of Irwin; an original member of the Circleville Fire Dept and a member of the Jacktown Ride & Hunt Club. William appreciated the outdoors, enjoyed hunting and fishing, he was an avid golfer and was a member of the Grasshoppers Golf League of Pittsburgh, and the Jeannette American Legion Golf League. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother Edward Kranitz. Surviving is his wife (his high school sweetheart) of 70 years Anna (Jankausky) Kranitz; three children William Kranitz, of Lakeland, FL Richard Kranitz and his wife, Karen, of North Huntingdon, Linda Brabiner and her husband, Tony, of Lakeland, FL; six grandchildren Justin, Cristin, David, Jennifer, Kendyl and Chase, and nine great grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Ott Funeral Home Inc., 805 Pennsylvania Avenue, Irwin on Thursday from 3-8 p.m. Parting prayers will take place on Friday at 11:30 a.m. in the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday at 12:00 Noon in the Immaculate Church.
