It was with great sadness that I learned of Mike’s passing. The love of his family most certainly gave him much joy and happiness during his lifetime.

As an adult I knew Mike as a kind man both to me and my family. He was never one to pass up the opportunity to offer advice or help out much the way I remember your grandfather did to all those who befriended him.

As a child spending summers at the lake, I knew Mike as a good friend going fishing, frog hunting and playing baseball during the day and kick the can at night. His love of the lake was always easy to see.

It was clear that he cherished his place in this world as a loving husband and father more than anything else and set an example for all of us in this regard.

I would like to believe that losing someone we loved doesn’t mean they have really left us because they live in our hearts and minds.

May you be comforted by the wonderful memories and the incredible love that you shared.

Please accept my sincerest condolences for your loss.
